AKEP may reject the domain registration if the information provided by the registrant is inaccurate or incomplete. Additionally, if your domain name is classified as a reserved or prohibited name according to AKEP regulations, the domain registration may be rejected. For domain.al, 4 additional pieces of information are required:

1. Company ID – This is optional for domain.al, but mandatory for third-level domains.
2. Document Type – Can be one of the options below:
   • Identity Card
   • Passport
   • Social security number
3. Organization Identification Number – The registrant’s ID number.
4. Legal status – It can be one of the options below:
   • Limited Liability Company – Requires Company ID to be filled in.
   • Public Entity/Organization – Requires the company ID to be filled in (mainly for .gov.al).
   • A trader – requires the company’s ID to be completed.
   • Individual.

.al domains can be active for a maximum period of 10 years. This means that during registration, the domain can be registered for a period of up to 10 years. However, domain renewal can be done for a maximum period of 9 years.
